Oh my gosh! I’ve seen this place! It’s not photoshopped. It’s a restaurant in Seattle. Unless it’s a chain. Then there’d be Fuk Mis all over the place.
The photo below (“Fuk Mi”) is an example of tampering and was sent to Engrish.com many times. The original name of the restaurant is actually Fu Kim. Although it goes without saying, this picture will never make “Engrish of the Week”.
Apparently this IS a chain, because there was a Fuk Mi located near the boardwalk in Kemah, Texas. This picture is NOT photoshopped, or tampered with. This is exactly what the restaurant in Kemah, TX looked like. Since hurricane Ike, I haven’t been to Kemah, so I don’t know if the restaurant is still there or not.
One assumes this isn’t English (as they probably would not be able to get away with it otherwise), so is it really considered a fail?
But the rest of the sign is in English…so it’s in an English speaking country…I think it counts.
oh well

Meh, I’m not so sure. It’s like if the name “Frederick” or something was hilarious in Tagalog once printed on a sign.
Where’s the discussion here? To me it’s clear: awesome pic!!

thats hilarious. fuk mi
Heh, reminds me of Austin Powers: Fuk Mi and Fuk Yu.
this picture is clearly photoshopped. that looks more like a house than a restaurant. still funny, though.
