Livin in Northern Ireland, bein classed by some as a green bog trotter, & considering myself an amateur linguist i can suggert several dialect meanings. (Remember Dr Who & the Dialects?) In the UK Dr Whites were a brand of sanitary towels. Also a regional brand of lemonade. In Norn Irn u dont ask 4 vodka & lemonade but a volvo & white. Scotland & N. Ireland also have brown lemonade. Hope this clarifies things.
