The sign’s been there for years and has gotten its fair share of exposure by Australian comedians in the past. I drove past the sign a few years ago – not knowing about its existence before seeing it – and laughed so hard that it was difficult to keep the car straight.
I don’t think I ever stopped there for food, though, there is a KFC and Hungry Jacks (Burger King) further along.

Hahahaah, I’d forgotten all about that! I WENT to that McDonalds years ago and the guy in line infront of me made a crack about the sign. The serving girl’s eyes glazed over as she politely pretended to laugh as though she hasn’t heard every joke in the book about it. Deep down I know they love the sign though >_>

The sign has changed recently, it’s now actually “open 24 hours”! Just saw it the other day.
