Hey Everyone!
Just thought I’d give a quick update to the latest happenings around English Fail land.
First off, a slight name change is going to take place. English Fail will now be called English Fail Blog and will reside at its new address at englishfailblog.com. The new site is not active yet but should be in a week or less. In the meantime everything will stay just the same as always. Consider this a grace period in which you can update your bookmarks, etc…
Some cool new features will also be added, such as (hopefully) adding star ratings. What are your thoughts on this? Also a complete site layout and theme change will take place.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please write a comment to this post. I hope this will be a positive change for everyone!
Thank you all!

Cool!
Sounds nifty, but why the switch to begin with? I like the idea of rating up or down for what I can only assume is their ‘failitude’. Is this what you meant by Star Ratings? Anyway, good luck with this!
Also, will we need to update our RSS feed or will that transfer on its own…somehow…
I get the feeling we need to update it ourselves, ha ha.

Q: Why the switch to begin with?
A: Having a custom domain name as well as web hosting will allow for much more expansion and optimization of the site. For instance, I’ll be able to make the post widths wider which will allow bigger photos without losing any picture quality. In addition, I’ll be able to add cool features such as star ratings, or a thumbs up thumbs down sort of thing, etc.
Q: Will we need to update our RSS feed?
A: Great question. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to download the WordPress plugin which simply redirects all current RSS feed readers over to the new feed address. If this doesn’t work, however, you all will simply have to switch to the new feed manually, which will be a piece of cake. Either way, it should all work out fine and I’ll make sure to provide clear instructions onto how to make the switch.

Thanks for the answers. I love this blog! I need to get a digital camera so I can start submitting things.

SELF FAIL!
I think star ratings or thumbs-up thumbs-down would be great.
I, too, would like ratings.
If you change the layout, just don’t go overboard. A lot of sites are upgrading their appearance and they end up just looking excessively cluttered and difficult to navigate.
What’s with the name change? Do we really need to be told that this is a blog?
@sMatlak
Someone already registered englishfail.com before me and I wanted it to be a .com name so I added a blog at the end of the name. I actually like the new name better because it sounds more grammatically correct.
