    Actually, it’s not bad grammar to use “an” there.

    i actually think it is bad grammar…
    b/c the rule is
    use “A” if the next word starts with a consonant (sp?)
    and use “AN” if the following word begins with a vowel

    maybe they were going to write
    “you are invited to an elegant pork lion dinner”

    vanR could be correct if the invitation was to be read colloquially (sp? lol great word).

    say this aloud or it will never work

    “you aa invyted to an ‘ork lawyn dinna”
    but, thats the only way it could be correct. doubt it though.
