I bet the person who wrote that ad copy is making big (black) bucks!

I love that it’s a desk on wheels. So they can wheel it out the door when the inner city school closes. I’m in D.C. I’m cynical.

    Cartoons here:

Philosophical note: could this be considered racism? Making products tailored to ethnic groups isn’t a new phenomenon (hair care products for people with Afro-Caribbean hair), so this could have been intentionally posted.

    By a massive idiot.

    LOL Brown08!

  9. 12 Extramrdo May 12, 2008 at 9:18 pm

That has got to be the funniest one. I am bringing this picture to school tomorrow, the black kids are always complaining they get singled out…

Wow, I was actually really confused at first, because I simply can’t imagine how someone doesn’t know how use apostrophes correctly. This is very funny though. πŸ™‚

  12. 15 Ben May 17, 2008 at 5:30 pm

The apostrophe is fine. The product name is harmless, as long as you’re not looking for racism.

Apparently, we are, so we find it funny.

Maybe they should have tried “Kid’s Computer Desk – Black”

    For clarity’s sake…

  13. 16 Ben May 17, 2008 at 5:32 pm

It would have been more comical if it was “Black Kids’ Computer Desk”

  14. 17 Caitlin May 19, 2008 at 9:14 pm

    $79.99 seems a little pricey.
