Translations are always good. Here are the instructions for putting together a Mainstays brand shelf to hang in the shower:

For correct installation of the shelves, please place the top shelf in the top slot of the unit. The middle shelf should be placed in the middle slot and the bottom shelf in the bottom shelf. Failure to install shelves as instructed will result in breakage of the unit.

Hah, that’s funny Asad. Once I recieved a toy helicopter manufactured in Japan. The results were, sadly, quite similar, with the instructions asking you to “Please press the throttle up to make the toy to go in the top direction.”

Denounced, eep! I hope violators won’t be shipped off to China for reeducation as well.

I am curious to know if this sign is still in existence or if it has been corrected, because surely now there would be more awareness of language translation accuracy? This is a why I always say use a translation agency instead of doing a home job or relying on an automated translation tool. Language professionals can translate text by implementing a human factor that automated tools cannot comprehend. But I do have to admit, some of the errors I’ve come across have been pretty funny!

This is the right web site for anyone who wants to find out
about this topic. You realize so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will
need to…HaHa). You definitely put a brand new spin on a topic which has been written about for decades.

    Wonderful stuff, just great!
